Synopsis: John Steinbeck's
immortal tale of the Joad family, as brought to the stage by the Steppenwolf
Theatre Co. Forced off of their land and out of their home during the depression,
the family leaves for California. All they seek is work, and a chance to
retain their dignity and self-respect.
Gary Sinise plays Tom Joad,
the oldest son. He was nominated for both Tony and Drama Desk awards for
his performance.
